My Work At Home Job
As soon as people hear that I work from home I am bombarded with questions. What do you do? How do you do it? Is it legitimate? Can I do it? To answer your questions, let me start at the beginning.
- What I do: I am a customer service representative. Using my computer and telephone line I answer incoming calls.
- How I do it: I log on to their (the company’s) program that is installed on my computer. I have a headset that plugs into my phone, and viola! Calls are routed by them (the company) to my phone, and the program is synced together so I can assist the customer online. It is like a call center, except I am at home using my own computer and telephone line.
- Is it legitimate? Absolutely, I am paid twice a month via direct deposit into my bank account, but beware, not all work at home agencies are. I will teach you how to tell the difference.
- The most important question and hardest to answer, can I do it? Anyone can do it, but you must have at least basic computer skills. Know how to toggle back and forth between screens, how to start and run programs, how to scroll through screens. It is also a good idea to know how to type. The good news is, you can find all of the stuff you need to learn online for free. I will be adding links in the next few days.
Unfortunately the company I work for does not allow anyone to disclose that they work for them nor to give out any information on the companies that use their services. The reason is they offer complete privacy to their clients who use their agents. It is on the list of legitimate work at home sites , you just don’t know which one I work for, but you are welcome to guess! Or you can just ask me
