Little is much when God is in it!

    Being Frugal is Fabulous

    Would you wear this?

Itll cost ya $40.00 to look this, er, warm.

It'll cost ya $40.00 to look this, er, warm.

These are not for me. I would probably sweat to death. Of course, I do live in Florida so maybe you guys from snow country would like to try them? What do you think?

    You work where?

At home. When most people learn that I work from home for an actual company I am bombarded with questions. What do you do, who do you work for, how much do you make and can I do it too? Those are the questions I am asked  most often.

What do I do? I work for a company that contracts with other companies to provide agents to do customer service, so I am a customer service agent, or representative. Unfortunately the company that I work for does not allow me to disclose their name (to ensure privacy to their clients) so I will refer to them as company “A”. The company who contracts with company “A” I’ll call company “B”. Company A has many companies that use them. Although company B is the work I do, the calls I receive are customers of company A the customer does not know that I am an employee of company A and that I am working from home. For example, if you owned a doctors office and needed a few more nurses, but didn’t want to hire any, you would call a temp agency and they would send over a few nurses from their agency. Although the temps are working in that doctors office, they are paid by the temp agency. But these jobs are permanent.

    Husbands, you can’t kill ‘em

Yesterday I spent hours working on a post about my work at home job to accompany the list of legitimate work at home companies. I wasn’t quite done when I got called away from my computer unexpectedly. As soon as I left, my husband comes along, not a care in the world, and CLOSES OUT MY PROGRAM!!! Of course I lost my post. Bummer! I will rework it tonight. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good punishment?

    Can treating MRSA be simple?

If you watch the news these days you have probably heard of MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus), a staph infection that has became immune to all but the  strongest antibiotics and can be fatal. Children are at an increased risk of not only getting MRSA, but of getting repeated MRSA infections. The two most obvious reasons are that their hygiene leaves much to be desired, and their immune systems have not yet fully developed. Unfortunately the only medical treatment for MRSA is drainage of the MRSA boil, cutting away the infected skin and stronger antibiotics. But a lot of the MRSA infections are picked up in the hospital and doctors are misdiagnosing and not treating MRSA correctly. So what are we to do? The good news is there are natural alternatives for treating and even preventing MRSA. The first steps in preventing the contraction and spreading of the MRSA infection are:

    • Wash hands frequently with soap and warm water.

    • Wash bedding often and never share personal items(towels, washcloths, razors, etc.).

    • Keep any open wounds covered no matter what the size.

    • Work on strengthening your immune system.
    •

To treat MRSA that you already have Turmeric(yes the spice!) is a wonderful treatment. Just drink 1 stp in warm water 3 x a day. Less effective, but still works, take turmeric capsules, 450-500 mg, 2 x per day.  Continue all tratments for at least 7 days after all symptoms are gone. You can also make a paste and apply directly to the boil or MRSA site and cover with a bandage. With all of your helathcare it is important to know your own body. You know what is “right” and what is not. Take control of your own wellness!

    Me, a blogger?!

For a while now I have been toying with the idea of starting a blog. As I surf the web reading other people’s blogs, I think “man that would be fun, I wonder if I can do it?” Would anyone care about what I had to say? What would my topic be? And how in the world do you write a blog anyway, you know, the “technical stuff”. So I finally decided to go for it. And here it is, in all it’s glory!
